The A’chik Conscious Holistically Integrated Krima (ACHIK) has suspended its president, Thomas M Marak, for alleged misuse of his position in charge of the pressure group.
ACHIK’s council held a special meeting yesterday in Thomas’ absence and also that of Greneth Sangma, hitherto the vice-president who had resigned from the post.
Thomas was accused of “overwriting ACHIK council resolutions”, centralising the work of the organisation in his hands, failing to be aware or adhere to ACHIK’s vision and mission, etc.
ACHIK informed Thomas that he would be given a suitable opportunity to counter the allegations against him.
