An earthquake of magnitude 5.6 on the Richter scale hit Meghalaya at 6:43 pm.
The epicentre was Myanmar, as per the National Centre for Seismology (NCS). The earthquake occurred at a depth of 110 km.
Taking to X, the seismology centre wrote, “EQ of M: 5.6, On: 29/05/2024 18:43:26 IST, Lat: 23.46 N, Long: 94.54 E, Depth: 110 Km, Location: Myanmar.”
