The authorities have appealed for any information that could help locate a missing 55-year-old man from Assam, Sanjay Sharma, who disappeared in Shillong on April 15.
The schoolteacher had only arrived in Shillong the morning he went missing. According to the missing person report filed on the same day, Sharma, from West Karbi Anglong in Assam, had arrived in Shillong at around 9:30am, following which no connection could be established with him.
Sharma was supposedly on his way to Ïewduh when he disappeared from Garikhana near the Ri-Bhoi stand.
The missing person is 5 feet, 4 inches tall, with a dark complexion and can be identified by a scar from a cut on his left arm.
He was last seen wearing a grey-cream-white striped sweater, grey trousers, black shoes, grey cap and carrying a backpack.
