St Edmund’s College won the Inter-College Quiz Competition organised by Sankardev College on March 27.
The quiz was sponsored by the state government under the Chief Minister’s Youth Development Scheme (CMYDS) through the office of the East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner.
Eight colleges from Shillong participated in the competition, with the team from St Edmund’s, represented by Sanjana Rani and Niyazul Rehman, emerging as the winners. The first prize winners received a certificate and cash prize of Rs 5,000.
Second prize was bagged by Raid Laban College, represented by Diya Sinha and Rajesh Barman. They received certificates and a cash prize of Rs 4,000. The third prize was bagged by St Anthony’s College, represented by Jennifer R Marak and Christina Themsingphi AS. They also received certificates and a cash prize of Rs 3,000.
The quizmaster was Batskhem Rapsang, assistant teacher at KJP Girls Higher Secondary School.
