A 45-year-old mother named Dijak Ch Sangma was allegedly killed by her son at their home in Chidaogre village near Babadam, West Garo Hills district today.
According to police, the absconding accused, 25-year-old Sengjon Ch Sangma beheaded his own mother with a sharp dao.
It is unknown what led to the horrific crime as police are investigating into the incident.
