Twenty-year-old Sawakani Lakiang of Khimusniang, Jowai has done the state proud once again by winning two titles during the Mr and Ms India 11th National Bodybuilding & Fitness Championship 2023 held in Rajasthan from December 15-17.
Lakiang stood second in the Women’s Sports Model category and third in the Bikini (Women’s) category in the event organised by the World Fitness Federation, India.
The Bouncer Association of Meghalaya (BAM), Jaintia Hills Unit on today felicitated Lakiang at Jingkieng Myntdu.
Lakiang, who is an active member of BAM had in October bagged the first position of the Mr. and Miss East India 2023 Zonal Body Building Championship (bikini model category) in Ranchi.
She is a first-year English Honours student of Kiang Nangbah College, Jowai. She thanked the BAM and instructor of the Body Mass & Fitness Gym, Panaliar Jowai Yoosar Kynjing, police officials and Jowai MLA Wailadmiki Shylla for their support.
Her mother, Irina Mary Lakiang too thanked the family and those who supported her daughter who could make major achievements.
