An awareness programme on Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) was organised today by the KVK Ri-Bhoi alongwith the office of the Block Development Officer of Bhoirymbong with other line departments and Meghalaya Rural Bank, etc.
The programme was attended by 220 farmers. The chief guest of the programme was Umroi MDC Rangkynsai Kharbuki.
Government officials elaborated about the different central government schemes and policies implemented in the district.
KVK officials also encouraged the agriculturists to go for ‘natural farming’, to test their soil for higher productivity, ‘nutrition gardens’, etc.
