Army Public School Shillong under Head Quarters 101 Area hosted the semi final of India’s largest inter school quiz competition, ‘Battle of Minds’ today.
Twelve teams, comprising of both boys and girls in the age group of 10-16 years, participated in the well contested rounds, conducted by Kunal Savarkar, renowned quiz master.
GD Goenka Public School, Siliguri and National English School, Baguiati emerged winners. The finals will be held at the Indian Military Academy at Dehradun on December 3, 2023.
Speaking on the occasion, Lieutenant General Sanjay Malik, General Officer Commanding 101 Area expressed his happiness over wide participation from schools in India’s largest ever school quiz competition. He said this shows the willingness of students, teachers and parents to support the role of the Indian Army in nation building and transformational change.
AWWA Zonal President Dr Nivedita Malik exhorted all the children to move on the path of knowledge towards enlightenment and empowerment. She expressed hope that the Eastern Command team will go on to excel at the grand and wished all the children all the very best.
