The 43rd Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya, as part of its efforts to ensure the well-being of the population living along the international border, organised a free medical camp today under the force’s Civic Action Programme at the Chirangri border outpost in South Garo Hills.
During the camp, BSF and civilian doctors conducted health checkups of the population and distributed free medicines to the villagers.
In addition to the medical camp, Deputy Inspector General Tarni Kumar Tiu, and 43rd Battalion Commanding Officer Ratikant Thakur distributed various essential items, such as solar light sets, umbrellas, plastic chairs and tables, sports equipment, etc to students and residents of villages such as Rongra, Chirangri, Seemakona and Dambukaphal.
