The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) Scan and Share Implementation Programme was inaugurated today at the Outpatient Department registration block at Shillong Civil Hospital today.
It was inaugurated by Dr HC Lyndem, Director of Health Services (MI).
The launch programme was followed by a live demonstration on the ABDM Scan and Share.
The objective of the implementation is to promote digital health services to meet the objective set by the World Health Organisation in terms of realising the universal health coverage to each and every individual throughout the country.
A QR code-based solution in ABDM empanelled facilities will enable patients to scan a QR code and share their demographic base on their consent. This process will drastically eliminate long queues during peak outpatient registration time.
