The graduation ceremony of the 49th batch of Field Assistant Trainees was held today at the Conservation Training Institute (CTI) campus in Byrnihat, Ri-Bhoi, today.
Soil and Water Conservation Minister Marcuise N Marak was the chief guest and Joram Beda, Commissioner and Secretary in the department, was the guest of honour.
OT Lyngwa, Divisional Soil and Water Conservation Officer, who is in charge of CTI Byrnihat, presented a report on the training course.
Certificates, trophies, and prizes were awarded to the trainees who had successfully completed the course. The chief guest also released the 2021-22 annual report.
This batch’s course started on May 4, 2022 and concluded today. A total of 23 trainees were nominated, out of which 21 successfully completed the course. The trainees were from different departments and organisations from the North East.
Theory and practical classes for the trainees were taken up meticulously. Apart from classroom teachings, the trainees were exposed to projects, assignments, physical training classes, games and sports. They also undertook social work and went on study tours to various places within and outside the state to expand their knowledge and broaden their horizons.
