Metallica-Sargam Sports & Cultural Club supported by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Shillong observed Shaheedi Diwas (Martyrs’ Day) along with the rest of the country at RB Anopchand Hindi Secondary School premises on March 23.
During the event, floral tribute to Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Shaheed Shukdev and Shaheed Rajguru, essay writing competition of the life and works of the freedom fighters of India and pledge taking were organised. Altogether 14 female and 16 male participants participated in the programme.
