A joint team of West Garo Hills Police and BSF today detected 400 grams heroin worth approximately Rs 2 crore at Photamati Junction under Tikrikilla Police Station.
One person identified as Zakir Hussain (24)of Kusnimara village under South Salmara, Assam has been arrested.
Police said Hussain travelling from Goalpara, Assam to Mankachar with the consignment.
The contraband has been seized as per procedure and a case is being registered. Investigation is on.
