John Leslee K Sangma wants another shot as South Tura MLA and wants the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to entrust the ticket to him for the next elections.
Sangma only joined the BJP in June and his entry into the race makes things interesting as the saffron party’s Tura MDC Bernard Marak has already been rumoured to be the BJP’s candidate for South Tura in the elections that are due by March 2023.
Sangma said that he has received tremendous support from locals, which has helped him make his decision to try to regain his old seat, which he lost in 2018.
