A two-day awareness programme on employment generation will be organised under Yess Meghalaya at Dinet Manik Syiem Higher Secondary School, Nongthymmai on November 11 and 12.
The Uplifter Alternative, an NGO working with local communities in Nongthymmai has urged youth who aspire to become an entrepreneur to attend the programme.
The programme aims to create awareness amongst youth of the opportunities available under self employment, to realize and understand the benefits factor of being self employed and to lead youths free from anti-social and other evils.
The NGO said various agencies and government departments viz DDUGKY, KVIC, MSME, DIC, SIDBI, PRIME START-UP HUB and others will emphasize with the inputs/resources available with them for the benefit of youth.
