Governor Brig BD Mishra (retd) has greeted the people of Meghalaya on the occasion of Shad Nongkrem.
“On the auspicious occasion of Nongkrem Dance, I convey my greetings to the people of Meghalaya, especially the Khasi community, and hope that this indigenous dance festival which is performed to appease the all powerful Goddess “Ka Blei Synshar” will usher a rich bumper harvest for that prosperity of the people,” the Governor said.
“As you celebrate your rich cultural heritage and preserve age-old traditions with fervour, may the festival bring lasting peace, communal harmony and progress for the state as a whole,” he added.
