BJP leader AL Hek has said that the party leadership have its own calculation on the issue of withdrawal of support to the National People’s Party-led Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) Government.
Hek reiterated that the party will wait for the central leaders to take a call and that timing is important for them.
The BJP which is one of the alliance partners in the MDA government since May this year, indicated its readiness to pull out of the government led by NPP. Since then the threat of the saffron leaders appears to have been more smoke than fire even prompting the ruling party to ignore it.
However, Hek maintained that his party leaders are not keeping quite since they have their own way to take decisions.
The BJP has made plenty of noise about corruption, illegal coal mining and other issues. The state BJP has also been incensed by the arrest of state vice-president and Tura MDC Bernard Marak on suspicion that a property belonging to him was being used for immoral purposes.
