A marathon in memory of police martyrs was organised by the 2nd Battalion of the Meghalaya Police at Goeragre today.
Young people from the neighbouring areas participated in the event that began at 6 am.
Batsrang A Sangma completed first at the marathon followed by Matsrang A Sangma and Witnar A Sangma in the second and third place respectively.
Consolation prizes were also given to Tulsi Momin and Rikmatchi Momin.
DIG western range, Subba CVS Reddy, Commandant B.A.Sangma, senior officers and police personnel of all ranks were present at the event.
