On the occasion of National Sports Day on Monday, 25 ‘Meet the Champions’ programmes are being organised across India.
In Shillong, Rojit Singh Yanglem, a track cyclist who competes internationally for India, will interact with more than 200 students at St Anthony’s Higher Secondary School from 10am onwards.
The ‘Meet the Champions’ programme aims to prepare and connect young school students with successful athletes and prepare and inspire them “with champion qualities to face the world in any sphere of life,” a press release said today.
