Three persons have been arrested for burglary in the city.
They are identified as Wanstep Lyngdoh (27), Banroplang Jyrwa (24) and Abdul Motalif (21) of Mawlonghat.
Police said Lyngdoh and Jyrwa are habitual offenders and have admitted of their involvement in a burglary case at Rynjah and sold the stolen items at Ïewmawlong.
The pair was arrested on August 2 during a joint patrolling conducted by the Sector Officer Rynjah Jyoti Wahlang, SI P. Syiem IC Nongthymmai along with the special party of Rynjah police station at Nongthymmai.
Yesterday, police with the help of SI J Wahlang IC Cantonment and his special party arrested Motalif and recovered the stolen items that include four laptops, two cameras and a mobile phone.
