Assam Regimental Centre defeated Meghalaya Police during an exhibition football match played at Mawlai football ground today.
The match was organised as a part of India @75 Aazadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations.
In the thrilling match, ARC scored 3 goals while police managed to net a single goal.
About 1500 spectators including civilian dignitaries, senior army and police officers, school students and army and police personnel attended the match.
Lt Gen KC Panchanathan, , GOC 101 Area attended the match as the chief guest and felicitated both the participating teams.
