Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Cultural Centre distributed certificates to its 95th and 35th batches of Computer Science and Language Students respectively at a ceremony held in Shillong today.
A total of 1400 certificates were awarded to the meritorious trainees of the two disciplines.
The convocation was held for the 95th batch of students attending the May-June 2022 session comprising 1700 youths from different parts of the Northeast.
Students who topped the academics are – Computer-Beginner IshuahKharsohtun, Intermediate – KarlevenOdinielLaloo; Tally -I – Sunny Deb Tally-II BanishaKharbi; DTP- NikaDelectaLyngdohNongbsap; We & PC Maintenance – Willingly Lamin; Database- Sophia Katrai; Cloud computing and Python- AssuntaJala.
The convocation was held in two different sessions – one in the morning and another in the afternoon.
Regional Director, Atomic Minerals Directorate for Exploration & Research, NER Shillong Dr.Prakhar Kumar, who was the chief guest for the morning session, lauded the role of the institute in training the youth in IT and emphasised on hard work, dedication and commitment in the country’s development.
Chief Guest for the second session, Principal & Secretary Institute of Hotel Management Shillong, Vijay Kumar called upon the youth to develop their skill for the benefit of the people of the country.
Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Shillong, Swami Hitakamanandaji Maharaj congratulated all the students and asked the youth to imbibe the ideas Swami Vivekananda to be successful in life.
Deputy Centre-In-Charge, Brahmachari Vairagyachaitanya lauded the students for their hard work and also appreciated the teachers’ contribution.
Ramakrishna Mission, Shillong trains about 6000 youths a year in Computer subjects, spread over five sessions.
