Justice should be served within six months for the two children who were brutally murdered last week, president of the Civil Society Women’s Organisation (CSWO) Agnes Kharshiing has said.
The father of the two children, Joefersson Jana, is suspected of carrying out the heinous crime and is under arrest.
A candlelight vigil was organised at Khyndailad here this evening to remember the two innocents and demand justice.
Speaking to Highland Post, Kharshiing said that it is sad that the two angels were killed by their own father and the case should be sped up and justice delivered within six months.
The vigil was organised by the local unit of the Awaken India Movement (AIM) along with the All Naga Kuki Catholic Youth Association, Shillong. Participants numbered in the hundreds.
Justine Kahit, a member of AIM, said the vigil was an expression of the public’s desire to see that the children are given some justice and that such horrible crimes do not occur again.
