The National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities in collaboration with the Composite Regional Centre for Skill Development, Rehabilitation and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (CRC Shillong) organized a one day distribution of teaching learning materials kits to persons with intellectual and multiple disabilities.
The purpose of the scheme is to assist the needy disabled people in procuring durable, sophisticated and scientifically manufactured, modern, standard aid and appliances to promote physical, social and psychological rehabilitation by reducing the effects of disabilities and at the same time enhance their economic potential.
More than 90 beneficiaries from Ri-Bhoi registered themselves for the kits.
