The Meghalaya Arms Wrestling Association will hold a one day ‘Arm Fight’ at U Soso Tham Auditorium on March 12 at 10 am.
The event is being organised in collaboration with Meghalaya Aids Control Society (MACS), Treilang Welfare Society, Bouncer Association of Meghalaya (BAM), HNYF East Khasi Hills and the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affair.
Addressing a press conference today, BAM president Junestar Kharbuli informed that winners of the event will be awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 20,000 for the individual category, who will also be awarded with the “Strongest Arm” title.
Alexander Kharkongor, Assistant Director IEC, Meghalaya Aids Control Society (MACS) said that this event is aimed to spread awareness on HIV AIDs. He said sports is away to prevent drug and substance abuse
