A felicitation ceremony was held at Raj Bhavan here today to felicitate the cadets of NCC Group Shillong who took part in the Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2022.
Five boys and one girl from Shillong Group represented the North East Region (NER) Directorate at New Delhi. Cadet Marry Malling was the first cadet from Arunachal Pradesh to take part in Republic Day Camp. She was also awarded the Director General NCC Commendation Card for her excellent performance.
Governor of Meghalaya, Satya Pal Malik, gave certificates of appreciation and cash prizes to the cadets. He congratulated them and spoke of the importance of RDC and the NCC in nation building. The Governor also complimented the parents and teachers of the cadets who were present there.
The Additional Director General NCC NER, Major General Bhaskar Kalita, and Group Commander Shillong Group, Brigadier Jai Singh Yadav, were also present at the event.
