Assam police today seized around 8kg of cannabis from two persons at 8th Mile, under Jorabat Police Outpost, along the interstate border between Meghalaya and Assam.
According to Assam police sources, the duo, identified as Milanti Deuri and Badal Boro, who are both residents of 8th Mile, have been involved in the illegal trade in cannabis for some time. Police launched an operation and discovered the drugs in their possession. A two-wheeler believed to have been used by the pair was also seized by the police.
