A floriculture expo cum sale is underway at the Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD) Meghalaya Node in 5th Mile, Upper Shillong.
The event is being held under the aegis of the “Bioeconomy from Bioresources program with special reference to North-East India” and as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration to commemorate 75 years of India’s independence.
The expo aims to serve as a platform for the floriculture farmers of the State to showcase and provide a marketplace for their flowers and will extend for a few more weeks.
The IBSD Orchidarium is open on all days from 10 am to 5 pm with a weekly holiday on Wednesday. The State’s Covid-19 protocols will apply and masks will have to be worn, with entry allowed only for fully vaccinated persons and children will have to be accompanied by fully vaccinated adults.
