MLA of Mylliem, Hamletson Dohling today inaugurated the foundation stone for the construction of the road at Pynthor, Sawmer in Upper Shillong.
The estimated cost of the 0.590 meter road is Rs 1.78 crore and the target to complete the road is before the presbytery assembly of the Presbyterian Pynthor-Lumpdeng schedule in February 2022.
He lauded the residents of the Pynthor for donating their lands for the road construction and urged their cooperation to speed up the road construction.
The MLA also earmarked Rs 8 lakh for the construction of the footpath to the Presbyterian Church.
Others present at the occasion are Executive Engineer PWD F Umdor, Secretary of Sawmer E Lynshing and the Rangbah Shnong M Shabong.
