Childline Nongpoh celebrated Christmas in advance on Saturday at Umshanglieng village near Nongpoh.
Nongpoh MDC Balajied Rani was the chief guest in the presence of Centre Coordinator of Nongpoh Childline, Ibanshisha Marpna, the headman and residents of Umshanglieng village.
The celebration featured songs and dances performed by the children and was followed by cutting a Christmas cake.
Rani lauded the initiative of Nongpoh Childline for organizing the celebration for the children and also conveyed a message of love and hope for all the people of Ri-Bhoi and Meghalaya as a whole.
