The BJP Mahila Morcha, Tura has expressed concern over non-payment of dues to SSA teachers and said they are ready to join the protest if the State government does not pay their full salary.
Questioning the silence of Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, the BJP Mahila in a statement today said that while the central government is giving Meghalaya more than enough schemes and benefits the fact is it never reaches the general public.
“Blaming the BJP led central government for non release of money to the State for the payment of salary is a childish move,” BJP Mahila Morcha president, Rakhi K Sangma said.
Pointing out that as the festive season is approaching Sangma said, the announcement made by the government to make partial payment of two months salary to teachers is not enough.
