The Dorbar Shnong Khliehshnong Sohra and Dorbar Mawsmai-Nongthymmai Elaka have pledged to restore the beauty and free their area from plastics for a healthy environment.
The pledge was made after a two-day cleaning drive held in Nohkalikai village, Sohra Government College and the David Scott Monument in Sohra organised by the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS), which concluded today.
With Sohra being one of the most visited places by tourists, participants at the cleaning drive felt that people should change their mind set and treat the environment and streets as their own homes.
Nohkalikai Assistant Rangbah Shnong, Ricky Ksing, Mawsmai Nongthymmai Rangbah Shnong, L. Kshiar and members of the dorbar, Para Legal Volunteer, R. Thabah, Block Coordinator, L.
