Two members of the Garo Students Union (GSU) have written to the government over the immense difficulties faced by the people living in the catchment area of Raksamgre Primary Health Centre, as the facility does not have the required doctors.
As a result, the public are forced to travel to Tikrikilla for treatment. Furthermore, the GSU members said that the condition of the Tikrikilla road makes this even more unbearable for the sick and injured.
On top of all this, Raksamgre PHC has no ambulance and the GSU members blamed their local MLA, Benedict Marak, who is also the Chief Executive Member of the GHADC, for “neglecting the grievance of his people and it shows that he is irresponsible and unscrupulous.”
