The All Garo Hills SSA School Teachers’ Association today confirmed that it would hold a mass rally over the issue of their four months of salaries that have been pending on October 26.
The decision to agitate comes in the wake of several memos submitted, firstly to the education authorities as well as the state government despite which their salaries have remained unpaid.
“As a mark of protest over our unpaid dues we have decided to agitate through a public rally. Our salaries have been pending since June this year and there are no signs of it being paid to us soon,” said a press release by AGHSSASTA.
The rally will start from the Rongrenggre HS School field and go through the office of the DC, the main bazaar at Williamnagar in East Garo Hills.
