In a terrible hit-and-run incident on National Highway 6, two people were severely injured after the two-wheeler they were riding was hit by a truck.
This incident was reported to have occurred today afternoon near Umdihar village in Ri-Bhoi.
The two victims were identified as Himanta Chetri of Saiden village and Nicky Nongsiej of Quinine village.
They were immediately rushed to Nongpoh Civil Hospital for medical treatment and police are investigating.
