Improvement of a 5.43 km internal road in Smit village sanctioned under the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund- XXVI (2020-21) at Rs 30 lakhs will commenced soon.
Meghalaya State Planning Board chairman and local MLA Lambor Malngiang who laid a foundation stone for work today informed that the tendering process for the project has been completed and work will commence within a month’s time.
Malngiang informed that despite the hardships caused by the pandemic, his efforts have always persisted to bring about developmental schemes in the constituency. He also stated that around 13500 households in the constituency have been given aid during the pandemic.
