After laying its suggestions on how to conduct fair and transparent recruitment for government job before the South West Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner recently, the Hynñiewtrep Youth Council (HYC) today met public representatives of the district.
Led by its district president, Arbok Kharjahrin members of the HYC met cabinet minister and Mawkyrwat MLA, Renikton Lyngdoh Tongkhar and Ranikor MLA, Pius Marwein calling for their support in bringing about transparency in appointments to government jobs.
Kharjahrin said the two MLAs concurred to the suggestions.
It may be mentioned that the HYC suggested ways to prevent leakage of question papers, installation of CCTVs in examination centres and surveillance of personal interviews besides others. It also sought punishment as per law to officials and politicians found interfering in job appointments.
