The Deputy Chief Executive Member of the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC), Nikman Ch Marak, has written to Chief Minister Conrad Sangma seeking financial sanction for the construction of a Circuit House in Chokpot, South Garo Hills.
Nikman is also the local MDC from the area.
Nikman, who is also the local MDC, lamented that ever since the creation of Chokpot Civil Sub-Division, Community & Rural Development Block office and other sub-divisional offices, under South Garo Hills, the area has been running without accommodation facilities.
“This has been creating a lot of inconveniences to the government officers and the general public and poses a constant threat to the sense of insecurity due to the dearth of proper and safe accommodation facilities,” said Nikman.
