The East Khasi Hills district administration has requisitioned 184 private ambulances and other vehicles for “urgent” Covid-19 duty.
These were ordered to report by the Deputy Commissioner to Second Ground, Polo, in Shillong, at staggered times and dates between May 17 and 19.
The requisition was made under Section 3 of the Assam Requisition and Control of Vehicle Act 1960.
Those ambulances or other vehicles that are already deployed for duty or “rendering service” are directed to inform this via email to ddmaeastkhasihills@gmail.com before May 16 with documentary proof.
