The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Shillong College organised a one-day workshop on University Grants Commission (UGC) Regulations 2018 here today.
College Principal E Kharkongor explained that the aim of the workshop was to help teachers and the IQAC cells understand the application of the UGC regulations for recruitment of new teachers and career advancement of existing teachers. Shillong College IQAC members and those of other colleges attended. A presentation was also made to shed light on the necessary criteria to be fulfilled for recruitment and career advancement for teachers under the UGC pay scale.
