A further 19 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Meghalaya today. There were also 14 recoveries and no new fatalities.
Of the new cases today, East Khasi Hills accounted for 12, West Jaintia Hills six and Ri-Bhoi one.
All six of the West Jaintia Hills cases were in the Psiar cluster. In East Khasi Hills there were four in Nongthymmai and three each in Laban and Nongmynsong.
There were also 11 new recoveries in East Khasi Hills, two in South West Garo Hills and one in West Garo Hills.
In all, Meghalaya has had 13,525 Covid-19 cases, of which 154 are active, 13,230 have recovered and 141 have died from the virus. The recovery rate is 97.82 percent. The fatality rate is 1.04 percent.
