Due to detection of positive Covid-19 cases/high risk contacts in the house of S Roy at Harisabha, Laban and flat No. 9 (Second floor), PM Cottage, Laban East Road which requires contact tracing, testing and isolation to be effected in the interest of health of general public to prevent against any possible spread of Covid-19, the District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills District in an order issued yesterday has declared the two houses as a micro containment area so as to restrict unregulated entry and exit on the site. The order states that no persons are allowed to move into the containment area and inhabitants within the containment area shall not move out and shall strictly remain inside their homes. The Incident Commander, Zone-II shall supervise and monitor strict compliance of the order.
Further, due to detection of positive COVID-19 cases/high risk contacts in the house of Moonlight and Mina Chettri and Starly Wanniang at Lower Mawprem and in the compound of Bertimon Mairom, Lawmali Pyllun, Block-II, the District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills District has declared the above mentioned house and compound as micro containment areas with effect from October 16 so as to restrict unregulated entry and exit on the site. The order states that no persons are allowed to move into the containment area and inhabitants within the containment area shall not move out and shall strictly remain inside their homes
