Orders relating to containment to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in East Khasi Hills were promulgated by the District Magistrate today.
The residence of Nirmal Sen Nongbri at Nongpyngrope, Malki, Shillong and houses numbered 22, 23, 24 and 25 in the compound of Dr LL Sawian of Nongrimbah Block 4 have been declared as containment zones to restrict unregulated entry and exit.
Meanwhile, containment orders were lifted from the house of Sangita Das and U Deb in the compound of I Kharmudai, Riat Laban East, Madan Laban; the house of Usha Deb, house No. 62, Mynsain, Upper Lumparing; the house of the late NK Das, behind Laban Police Station; and the house of Dilip Chakraborty, RG Villa, Riat Laban West, Madan Laban with immediate effect.
