Shillong, Nov 6: The Garo Hills Youth Solidarity (GHYS) has alleged large-scale irregularities in the Greater Baghmara Water Supply Scheme under Jal Jeevan Mission and said it has filed a complaint with the Directorate of Enforcement, Shillong.
President Endick Marak, along with social activist Mingran T. Sangma, claimed the Rs 63.50 crore project to retrofit PHE pipelines to Baghmara Municipal area and 16 villages remains incomplete despite funds being withdrawn, as per RTI documents cited by them.
The organisation has sought a probe into the alleged discrepancy between reported expenditure and ground reality.
