Shillong, Sep 1: PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Umroi Cantonment students, Adarsh Singh and Anisha Pathak have secured All-India Rank 27 and first rank in Meghalaya at the Technothlon 2026, becoming the only team from the entire North East to qualify for the prestigious mains round held at IIT Guwahati from August 28 to 30.
Organised as part of Techniche, the annual techno-management festival of IIT Guwahati, the 23rd edition of Technothlon tested logical reasoning, analytical thinking, creativity and problem-solving through events like Ecosys, Kyzen Span, Enigma Grid and Servo Surge.
The duo, who topped the state in the selection round, represented Meghalaya at the three-day national championship at the IIT Guwahati campus.
The school said the achievement is a proud moment for Umroi, Meghalaya and the North-East and reflects the students’ curiosity, determination and ability to compete on a national intellectual platform.
