Shillong, Aug 31: Police have arrested one person in a house theft at Riatsohkhlur, Upper Shillong and recovered part of the stolen gold.
FIR was lodged on August 30 regarding theft of gold ornaments, Redmi Note-10 phone and Rs 10,000 cash. The incident was captured on CCTV.
Police traced and apprehended Evertumshine Eawphian (24) from Iew Ajmera on August 31.
On his revelation, gold earrings and a gold finger ring were recovered from a drain near 101 Area Bus Stand.
A case of theft and house trespass has been registered at Lumdiengjri Police Station.
