Jowai, Aug 4: West Jaintia Hills police have arrested three persons in connection with the murder of a 28-year-old youth of Ialong village.
The body of Damehi Mulieh was found at Khliehriat, East Jaintia Hills on July 31.
According to police, a Maruti Alto K10, bearing registration number ML05 AG-0285, belonging to the deceased was seized on July 31 in Gumrah, Cachar, Assam along with two suspects — Dapjingkmen Paslein (26) of Lakasein and Samuel Iakai (25) of Umkyrpong.
A third accused, Duniwankmen Sutnga (26) of Khaidong, was arrested on August 4.
All three were produced before court.
A case has been registered at Jowai PS No. 56(07)/2026 under Sections 103(1) and 140(1) of the BNS.
