Shillong, Jul 22: In a bid to further strengthen the quality of school education and equip students with learning practices suited to the demands of the modern era, the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) Silchar regional office today inaugurated the 13th Regional Principals’ Conference, a three-day event being held near Umiam Lake in Ri-Bhoi.
The conference brings together 31 principals from KVs across Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram and Tripura. Over the course of the three-day programme, participants will deliberate on a wide range of academic, administrative, and institutional issues aimed at enhancing the overall functioning of KVs.
Discussions will focus on improving classroom teaching and learning, promoting quality education, strengthening Bharat Scouts and Guides activities, financial management, the promotion of Hindi alongside regional languages and addressing key challenges faced by schools in delivering holistic education.
The conference will serve as a platform for principals to exchange ideas, share best practices, and formulate strategies that will further enhance educational standards and ensure that students receive quality education aligned with the needs of the 21st century.
