Shillong, Jul 11: The Mahendraganj Community Health Centre (CHC) has constituted a Rapid Response Team (RRT) to strengthen emergency healthcare services in view of the prevailing flood situation in the Mahendraganj area.
The team, constituted under the leadership of Dr NA Khan, Senior Medical and Health Officer and in-charge of Mahendraganj CHC, will respond to flood-related medical emergencies, undertake rapid health assessments, provide essential healthcare services and support disease surveillance in affected areas.
The Rapid Response Team apart from Dr Khan, comprises of Manisha Sangma (Staff Nurse), Imran Haque (NCD DEO), Mahmud Sasmal, Hamidul Islam (Grade-IV), Amirul Islam (Canal) and Rocky Kazi (Ambulance Driver).
The constitution of the team has been communicated to the District Medical and Health Officer, South West Garo Hills, with a copy forwarded to the Deputy Commissioner, South West Garo Hills.
The initiative is aimed at ensuring timely medical response and uninterrupted healthcare services for people affected by the ongoing floods.
