Shillong, Jul 4: Shillong today became the epicenter of an event that blended fitness, music, and women’s empowerment.
The occasion marked the launch of SheHub’s initiative titled “Miles & Music,” Northeast’s first-ever women-only DJ Run, which aims to inspire and uplift women through physical activity and community support.
The event combined a 4 km community run with live DJ performances, wellness activities, networking opportunities, and health awareness initiatives, creating a vibrant and safe space exclusively for women.
One of the key highlights was SheHub’s collaboration with the Meghalaya AIDS Control Society to encourage informed health choices, promote early testing, and help reduce the stigma surrounding HIV.
Participants also received finisher medals, complimentary breakfast, curated gifts and vouchers, while enjoying photo booths, ribbon-tying and face art stations, making the event both engaging and memorable.
SheHub founder Mansha Sharma said that the initiative is more than just a run. She described it as a celebration of women, community, and courage, aimed at creating a space where women can move freely, connect meaningfully, and embrace better health through awareness.
